Windows Vista Standby Mode Problems.
When Vista leaves "standby" mode, all CPU power is used. It will eat all CPU for about 00:01:10 (1 minute, 10 seconds). When the problem happened a few time, I thought "registry needs fixed". I used "Ccleaner" to fix it, and deleted temporary file too. Problem still persists.

I have a samsung TFT which Ubuntu has failed to recognized. Now It has a native maximum supported resolution of 1920 x 1080 I have instaled Ati drivers also ( I have a Radeon HD 5770) All I need to do is somehow force the monitor to 1920x1080 Can someone tell me how I googled but all I came up was to setup monitor resolutions from System > Preferences > monitors or writting Xorg.conf. I Can't Install Large Files From Cd/dvd
I seem to be having trouble copying large files from my dvd drive. I tried to install BattleField 2142 and it kept throwing an error, telling me the media was bad. Then I tried copying some files off a data cd that I'd burned a while back. CRC error. I cleaned the dvd then it ran quite comfortably for some time then again its the same. Windows Vista: Disabling Login Screen
Hi all, I'm sure some of you gave a thought to this, why does Vista always show the login screen when booting? In XP there was an option somewhere in control panel to "assume this user always login to the computer" or something like that. That way if you used the same user 99% of the time and wanted to keep a second user as say an administrator you could do so by setting that option.
